Yogini Juli

February 5, 2009

As many of you know Juli is really into practicing yoga. She goes to our local YMCA 3-4 (sometimes even 5) nights/days a week, religiously, for class. Oh yeah, and she is really good at it too.

Now for the past few months, Juli has made some really great friends in her yoga class, some of them being the instructors. Since they have got to know each other, the instructors have begun to encourage Juli to take a course and become a certified yoga instructor. She’s probably been mentally debating herself about this course for months now…without talking herself into it.

Earlier this week she heard from a fellow yogini (a female who practices yoga) that this course was about to begin and she should sign up. Long story short, she begins this course tonight at the Farha Center. It is each Thursday evening for a few hours and at the end of the 4 month course, she’ll have her certification.

I don’t think she has any plans as how to use this great certification yet (although she’ll be able to append some pretty sweet initials after her name), but I bet some substitute instructing will help guide her in the right direction. Let’s all congratulate Juli for taking this leap of faith and expanding her already vast knowledge of yoga.

Juli what a wonderful goal! Will you give private lessons to your mother-in-law?
